Ella Gallieni is a livestream and broadcast video director with a focus on opera, classical music, ballet, and musical theatre. Over the past decade, Gallieni has directed more than 60 livestreams, recordings, and television broadcasts of operas and classical concerts, displaying a particular interest in Wagner and baroque works. Her technical expertise lies in working with multicam remote-camera systems (PTZ) and hybrid systems (combining PTZ and broadcast cameras).

Born in Vienna, Austria, in 1983, into a musical family, Gallieni spent her childhood recreating Wagner's "Ring" Cycle in her bedroom with her stuffed toy animal collection (the annual production received unanimous praise among the other toys). Spoilt by this early success, she later on  decided to explore other terrains and pursued studies in history, comparative literature, and cinema directing. After dabbling in various enterprises in her 20s, she started her career as a livestream director at the Vienna State Opera in 2013.

Currently, Gallieni is working at Teatro alla Scala in Milan, the Vienna State Opera, and various productions around Europe. She resides in Paris, France.
